Gather your documents
Affordable connectivity program
Once you’ve determined you are eligible for Affordable Connectivity Program benefits, you will need to gather documents.
Typically, this includes:
- Letters or documents to verify your participation in a program
- Documents to verify your ID
The name on your ID document must match the name on the application and the document determining your eligibility. If you already have an Internet account, it must match the name on your ID and the application.
Select the program that you participate in to see the documents you need to apply for ACP. You may need to provide additional information or documentation.
General programs
Household income is less than 200% of the federal poverty level
You need to gather items that verifies your household income.

You already qualify for ACP so you do not need to gather any documents.
CalFresh or SNAP (formerly known as Food Stamps)
You need to gather items that show you receive SNAP or CalFresh benefits. What you need to gather
- Official document or letter of your CalFresh or SNAP benefits
- ID to verify identify
- Your name
- Name of the program (SNAP, CalFresh)
- Name of the government agency that gave you the document
- The document’s expiration date, or a date showing you received the benefit within the last year

You need to gather items that show you received a Federal Pell Grant in the current award year.

Documents must be from the student’s school (college or university, community college or career school) or the Department of Education. It must include:
- Student name
- Information showing the student was awarded the Pell grant in the current year
- The name of the school
